The goal of Primo Tedesco is to create a healthy working atmosphere, which contributes to the physical and psychological integrity of its employees, and which invests in the prevention of accidents and illness and also develops processes guaranteeing safety when performing tasks. To reach these goals, it employs the following tools:
PPRA - Program to Prevent Environmental Hazards
This program aims to eliminate the risks of accidents and illness at work by analysing machines, equipment, infrastructure and physical, chemical and biological hazards and accidents, and determining the appropriate corrective measures to prevent them.
PCMSO - Program for Medical Control of Occupational Health
This program targets total health control of employees by forecasting the medical exams needed to reach this goal.
E.P.I. - Equipment for Individual Protection
Individual protection equipment is supplied to prevent any possibility of accidents at work or occupational illness.
E.P.C. - Equipment for Group Protection
Group protection equipment is supplied to protect all employees who have direct or indirect contact with the production process.
Training
Investment in training for work safety so that employees may acquire broad knowledge of the risks from accidents with machines, equipment, infrastructure and other physical, biological and chemical hazards.
Campaigns for Safety at Work
Regular, motivational events held on the topic of work safety, most notably:
theatrical plays, visual communication specifically targeted to orientate, inform and make participants aware, an annual event known as SIPAT (Internal Week for Prevention of Accidents at Work) which seeks to draw attention to the issue, as well as debate new ways to improve company practices.
Fire Brigade
The company has a Fire Brigade in all its plants, which receive monthly training. All the procedures and also the fire-fighting equipment are in conformity with ABNT and International Norms.
Work Engineering, Health and Safety
The company invests in professionals in the areas of work engineering, health and safety and has employees on the payroll who are safety engineers, technicians in work safety, qualified nurses and company doctors.
