Back in the fifties when the issue of the environment was not yet in fashion, Primo Tedesco was already deeply concerned about the environment and began developing its first programs of reforestation in the region of Caçador, in the west of Santa Catarina. From then until today, the company has continued its investments in environmental preservation through the maintenance of native woodlands for ecological preservation, through sustainable management of its forests, and through the development of its infrastructure to treat atmospheric emissions, hydric effluents and solid wastes.

The company also promotes activities in the area of social responsibility in the municipalities where it has direct contacts. It is running initiatives in the fields of health, social assistance, technical and environmental education.
